The fligth to Chicago in winter offers an incredible sights of broken ice plains, as broken as our world, I thought for a while as I stared at them. The first impresión of the city in winter after spending a month in New York was of CLEANLINESS, something that in New York is basically non-existent. The second surprise, the WARMTH of its citizens, people smile, don´t run over you in the street, the taxi drivers speak to you instead of having a monologue with their friends in Swahili through the wireless headset…
It is an elegant city with one of the greatest arquitectural legacies all over the world. Jazz, clubs, theaters, and a lake that in summer time, as the locals say is like a beach. Just having a look at it from the airplain one can tell that they are right, only taking in account its size.
As the reason of my trip was for working, and I finished my work day so exhausted, I didn´t find the enough energy to make night tourism. Nevertheless, the last day I found a bit of energy and after leaving in bed my co-workers I took my camera and enjoyed such a beautiful city.

For sure it would worth coming back for visiting the museums and walking down its streets with more time.
